Terms of Service

1. What this is
H-1B Compass (“we,” “us”) provides a software service that generates a personalized PDF action plan based on dates and circumstances you enter. The service is information-only. We are not a law firm, we are not your lawyer, and using this service does not create an attorney–client relationship.
2. Not legal advice
Every output of this service — the PDF, the dashboard, the email reminders — is general information drawn from public sources (USCIS, the Code of Federal Regulations, the Immigration and Nationality Act). It is not legal advice for your specific situation. Decisions about your immigration status can have permanent consequences, and you are responsible for confirming any course of action with a licensed immigration attorney before acting.
When the service surfaces a “red flag” or recommends consulting an attorney, please follow that recommendation.
3. What you give us
When you use the intake form, you give us the dates from your employment and immigration record (last day of work, visa expiration, I-94 expiration), your family situation as it relates to H-4 dependents, the pathways you’re considering (transfer / B-2 / depart), your US-based assets, and your email address. We do not collect your Social Security Number, I-94 record numbers, A-numbers, or USCIS receipt numbers. See our Privacy Policy.
4. What we deliver
On payment, we generate a personalized PDF (typically 8–12 pages) and send a link to your email. You also get access to a dashboard at /dashboard and three reminder emails at +24h, +7d, and +30d after purchase.
The PDF is licensed to you for personal use. You may share it with your attorney. You may not resell it or republish it on the public internet.
5. Refunds
We offer a 7-day refund window. See our Refund Policy for the specific process.
6. Things we don’t warrant
The service is provided “as is.” We do not warrant that the information is current to the day of your read — immigration regulations change, and USCIS adjudication practice shifts. We do not warrant that following the plan will produce any particular outcome with USCIS or with any employer.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the plan.
7. Acceptable use
Don’t use the service to harass, defraud, or impersonate anyone. Don’t reverse-engineer the PDF generator. Don’t scrape the site. Don’t use it to provide legal advice to third parties.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. The “last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent change. If we make a material change that affects existing users, we’ll email you.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be heard in a state or federal court located in Delaware, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
